thousand pound keg

a salute to weezer

From the Garage

Thousand Pound Keg is a Weezer tribute band from South Jersey dedicated to capturing the crunch, charm, and raw sincerity of the band’s early years and beyond. Formed by four lifelong fans who bonded over fuzz pedals, power chords, and far too many plays of the Blue Album and Pinkerton, the group set out to recreate the sound, feel, and energy of Weezer’s classic era—right down to the harmonies and the cardigan-friendly awkwardness.

Their live show blends the biggest hits with deep cuts, fan favorites, and a few surprises pulled from Weezer’s live sets and Teal Album covers. Whether it’s the punch of “My Name Is Jonas,” the unrequited love of “Pink Triangle,” or the nostalgic rock of “Buddy Holly,” Thousand Pound Keg delivers a night that feels like stepping into a Weezer concert—loud, melodic, and irresistibly fun.

Between their backgrounds in local rock bands and their shared obsession with the details—amps, tunings, tones, and all the quirks that make these songs special—Thousand Pound Keg (a nod to a lyric from “Surf Wax America”) brings an experience that resonates with casual fans and diehards alike. Their mission is simple: celebrate the music that shaped them and give audiences the ultimate Weezer live experience.
